A.
The time frame varies depending on various factors including the size of your garden, your specific needs, preferences, and our availability. However, the usual design process can typically be completed in two to three weeks depending on the complexity of your project. Get in touch today to learn more about our process.
Q.
How much does it cost?
A.
We have many different pricing options available depending on the scope of the project. The cost will vary depending on the complexity of your project and the designer’s level of expertise. For a basic backyard landscape design, you can expect to pay anywhere from $2,000 to $6,000 for a project with an estimated cost of around $5,000. We will be happy to discuss our pricing at your consultation appointment. Trust us to give you an honest and accurate quote that saves you money. Unlike other contractors that won’t hesitate to overcharge you for basic landscaping services.
Q.
What is the difference between a landscape designer and landscape architect?
A.
A landscape architect is a licensed professional who oversees the design of gardens, landscapes, and other outdoor spaces. A landscape designer, on the other hand, may or may not be trained in landscaping design. So it’s important to check the qualifications of the staff you hire to improve your garden. Our landscape design services are designed to create or improve various outdoor living spaces. We can create custom designs to fit your needs and preferences, or we can work with you to plan an existing space. Let us know the improvement you want to get out of your yard we’ll schedule a free consultation.
Q.
How often do I need to water the garden?
A.
We have many different plants that are drought tolerant and low maintenance so there is no set watering schedule for these types of gardens. However, we recommend that you water your plants two to three times a week during the hot summer months. Regarding fertilization, you should fertilize every four weeks during the growing season. If you want some more carefree plants that require more frequent watering, we can help you choose those as well. Planting trees, shrubs, and flowers in the same area will make your garden more cohesive. But talk to one of our landscapers for a handful of suggestions.
Q.
Can I do it myself?
A.
If you’re up for a challenge, then go ahead and design your own landscape or hire someone else with some experience in landscape design who will walk you through the process. When you call us to book an appointment for a design consultation, our designer will go over what needs to be done after the design is complete. They’ll also be able to answer any other questions you may have about landscaping and gardening in general. Our landscape designers are licensed by the state board of professional engineers. You can check with the Spokane State Board of Professional Engineers.
Q.
When is the best time to build a garden?
A.
As soon as you are able to start planning. The best way to start planning your landscape is by scheduling an in-person meeting with one of our designers. During this meeting, we will discuss your project from start to finish and figure out which type of service would suit you. Remember, there is no such thing as being too busy for a design. There are many different styles of landscapes and we’ll require your personal input before the project can go ahead. Soon as you give us your details, we’ll work with you to create your perfect style that fits your yard.
Q.
What should I look for in a Landscape designer?
A.
Choosing a landscape designer is not a walk in the park. There are many factors that you have to consider before making your decision. You’ll want to make sure they have experience in your style of landscape. The company should have ample experience and be licensed in your state. In addition, they should have fair pricing and have the ability to show you their portfolio. For us, we don’t take in clients unless we’re a fit. At the initial consultation, we’ll take an in-depth look at your project and determine if our company has the skills necessary to handle the job.
Q.
What are “hardscape” and “softscape” designs?
A.
Hardscape designs are all about the structures that form the landscape. Hardscapes can include things like patios, decks, walkways, retaining walls, and other types of hardscaping material. The idea behind softscape is to take a bare piece of land and turn it into something that’s more inviting by adding features such as plants, flowers, or shrubs. Softscapes often employ ground cover materials for added benefits such as erosion control. Our landscape design is a collaborative process. We’ll sit down with you to assess your property and needs, then come up with a plan for the space based on what you need it to do.
Q.
Will landscaping increase the resale value of my home?
A.
Yes, it will. Landscaping is just one of many factors that could affect the resale value of your home. Landscaping can increase your property value by up to 12 percent. In some cases, the value of your home can increase to an even bigger margin depending on the additions done to your landscape. However, consider the condition and age of the landscaping on a particular property before making any decisions. Spokane Landscaping is a full-service provider of various landscaping services. We are the leading and most trusted company in Spokane, WA for all your landscaping needs
Q.
Why do you use patio and driveway pavers instead of poured concrete?
A.
We use patio and driveway pavers instead of poured concrete because they have a more natural appearance. Poured concrete is typically uniform in color, while stone pavers can come in many colors to match your landscaping and the surrounding environment. Stone also has the added benefit of being porous which allows for better water drainage and helps reduce runoff problems by absorbing rainwater. In this day and age, it can be difficult to find an honest business that will provide quality work at affordable prices without leaving you waiting weeks or months for the final product. This is where we come in.
